About Me

I am a bottom-line business, academic, and personal writer and advisor with a knack for results-oriented writing and organization. I view people or companies as personalities instead of structures, merchandise, documents or equipment. I have helped people and companies in the fields and professions of services, outsourcing, medical, law, manufacturing, production, technology, retail, and more. My practice is not limited to working with specific industries such as fabrics, chemicals or electronics. My specialty is to work with people, principals and key stakeholders to create "changes" that will help them reach their next level of organization, leadership and performance, and to improve their performance and profitability.

I work with a variety of people and existing and ongoing business concerns. I do not provide advice about the type of profession. business, products or services you should get into. My clients do not hire me for my know-how about their own trade such as textile, pharmaceuticals or semiconductors or professional services including medicine, law, accounting, and research. What they hire me for is my business writing skills and management knowledge that has enabled me to produce break-through results through people and processes at every level in organizations so they would be more productive, creative, and make a greater contribution to the success and bottom line of their company. My approach to business is through "people" and "processes" and what motivates them into taking actions that are in support of, and in line with, their personal or company's best interest and objectives.

Unlike large consulting firms that continue to increase their size and billing by hiring more and more consultants, I do not hire new MBA's to work for me because I operate a special practice doing something that is based on my experience, and which is very personal to me. I do not want to change my practice into a franchise or large impersonal firm. People come to me for what I can do for them "personally." I only take on as many clients as I can handle myself. I do not wish to expand my practice beyond what personally I can deliver.

Privacy

When you are providing personal information to anyone, you run the risk of loss of privacy.  I'm not going to flesh out five or more paragraphs littered with a litany of official sounding language in an effort to appease your privacy fears.  I'll keep it simple and transparent.

1. All information shared with James P. Shelley is held in the strictest confidence and never is shared with anyone. Period.  I've never heard of you.

2. All documents engineered and authored for clients are archived. No one has access to this information except me.  I've had clients request a copy of their document years later. Clients may request their document(s) be deleted/erased after the project completion.

3. Clients may request their document be password-protected when being transferred via email.

4. The majority of names under "Testimonials" have been fabricated, at the request of the client.  This is done to protect the identity of the client.  All testimonials are authentic.

Over the years I've had clients share with me some absolutely fascinating ideas... from inventions to business ideas... and all are assured of complete privacy. If you have any questions about privacy and how it relates to my writing process, please inquire.
